Ocean Race

Organized by the Boston Yacht Club and the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron in Halifax, this
ocean race got its start in the trade routes between Nova Scotia and the Boston States in the 18th and 19th centuries. This ocean race now follows the same route that commercial and fishing vessels
used long ago. This biennial race has now been running for 112 years and is believed to be the
longest running offshore ocean race in the world. Check the website for registration information.
