For the beginning sailor, Mactaquac is the ideal place to start and this website will help you discover why. Many of Fredericton’s “blue-water sailors” and “lower-river sailors” have cut their sailing teeth in the relative safety and friendly water of Mactaquac and then moved on to more distant water. However, Mactaquac has its place and some of NB’s most experienced people have returned to the convenience of Mactaquac permanently and others return to sail or race on occasion.
